Clinical Scientists

AIM

Our SFB/TRR219 consortium has Clinical Scientist positions integrated as rotational posts for clinicians involved in subprojects as principal investigator or co-worker at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen and Saarland University, respectively. The aim is to ensure that the key tasks for clinician scientists at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen and Saarland University can continue to be performed by qualified staff going forward. The bench-to-bedside approach specific to clinical scientists is essential in order to tackle relevant issues resulting from basic experimental research that cannot be addressed in the animal model. Through these clinical scientist positions, our consortium aims to implement and strengthen the basic-oriented, disease-oriented and patient-oriented clinical research of our consortium in the long-term.
