Also in 2025, SFB/TRR219 under lead of Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Marx organized the “Aachen Conference on Cardiorenal Disease and Diabetes”. At the meeting, various aspects in the field were presented with a focus on cardiovascular disease and the impact of  chronic kidney disease and diabetes.  In addition to international experts in the field, the meeting also included a special SFB/TRR219 session with updates from our own consortium, as well as a poster session supporting ongoing cooperations and...

Our SFB/TRR219 participated at the RWTH Aachen University  Night of Science to guide students as well as the general public about our research focus and goals, and the clinical relevance. Our doctoral students gave a speed course on how to use a microscope, recognize a diseased organ and use our laboratory equipment to diagnose disease and identify novel disease mechanisms! Fun to do and many interested students, children and adults!
