Project: Tracing the cellular origin of in-stent restenosis
PI: Jürgen Floege, Rafael Kramann
Restenosis after angioplasty and stenting is an unsolved major clinical problem in patients with coronary artery disease. We aim to gain insight into the molecular mechanisms and cell-types involved in this condition.
The project has the following objectives:
-Investigate which cells drive neointima formation
-Gain insight into origin of neointima cell population
-Investigate up-regulated pathways involved in in-stent restenosis
