SFB/TRR219 Kickoff Meeting 3rd Funding Period
Our SFB/TRR219 kickoff its 3rd funding period with a great annual meeting. The meeting started off with a one-day workshop of our Integrated Graduate School, providing an update of our IRTG program to newcomers in our consortium. This was followed by a session on “Insights into valuable methodological skills in biomedical research” as well as a coaching session on “Strategic impact in presentations – Do's & Don'ts for convincing presentations”. We ended the workshop with an interactive and successful moderated poster session.
The second day of our annual meeting provided a science update of our new SFB/TRR219 PIs, as well as from newcomers in Saarland and Aachen university. This was followed by a scientific session focusing on the interaction of SFB/TRR219 with other research consortia in RWTH Aachen and Saarland University, with the aim to expand even further the potential for additional collaborations. Prof. Jürgen Floege, senior Professor still associated with our SFB/TRR219, ended our meeting as keynote speaker, with an inspiring talk on “Nephro-Highlights of the past 20 years and where is this field going to?”.
Overall a great kickoff, with interactive discussions and a lot of enthusiasm to also continue our SFB/TRR219 successfully in this 3rd funding period!
