SFB/TRR219 @ International Science Festival (Pint of Science)

Research communication is important. Therefore, our SFB/TRR219 participated to the “Pint of Science Festival” in May, with three contributions:

·      In her talk “When your vessels turn to stone”, Dr Sofia de la Puente Secades (AG Jankowski) explained how chronic kidney disease can increase vascular calcification and cardiovascular risk.

·      Doctoral student Naresh Ganesh (AG Kahles) discussed “Hungry for Health: What Skipping Meals Does to Your Immune System”

·      Doctoral student Rutuja Salagundi (AG Kahles) discussed the “The Immune System’s Hidden Role in Healing After a Heart Attack”
